Project Leader

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer with a background in high-voltage infrastructure projects?

We’re supporting a client in Belgium with the appointment of a Project Leader to oversee the end-to-end delivery of critical substation and grid infrastructure projects across East and West Flanders.

Role Overview:

You’ll be responsible for the full lifecycle of transmission-level substation projects (36kV–380kV), from preliminary design and planning through execution, commissioning, and close-out.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the definition, design, and implementation of substation projects
• Develop budgets, schedules, and resource planning
• Manage project execution and coordination with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors
• Oversee tendering and procurement
• Ensure delivery aligns with regulatory, safety, and quality standards
• Report on budget, risk, and progress to management

What We're Looking For:

• Civil or Industrial Engineer (Electrical or Electromechanics) – Must-have
• Experience in high-voltage (70kV–380kV) infrastructure
• Track record in project management (junior to mid-level also considered)
• Fluent in Dutch (French is a bonus)
• Strong communication, stakeholder coordination, and organisational skills
