Lead Infrastructure Engineer
D-NETWORK is looking for a Lead Infrastructure Engineer for a big industrial actor based in Puurs/Antwerpen. Permanent recruitment, CDI contract, internal function - no freelancer for this role.brDutch Speaker + fluent in English (French is a plus).brYour responsibilities:brYou act as the primary contact for infrastructure incidents and projects in Puurs, and when needed, other Belgian sites,brYou install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, storage, firewalls, Wi-Fi, backups, and IT facility components (UPS, racks, cabling, cooling),brYou monitor infrastructure performance daily, conduct risk assessments, and define mitigation strategies to ensure stability,brYou design infrastructure solutions aligned with enterprise standards and liaise with Automation teams on OT-related infrastructure,brYou work with the HUB-based Senior System Administrator to maintain high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity,brYou lead infrastructure projects (network upgrades, datacenter modernization, hybrid cloud) and coordinate vendor activities with minimal downtime,brYou maintain accurate technical documentation, disaster recovery plans, and support compliance efforts, including NIS2 requirements,brYou contribute to long-term IT strategy, define multi-year roadmaps and budgets, and support datacenter modernization and consolidation,brYou collaborate with Cyber Security, SecOps, and business managers to align on security, compliance, and trusted IT support.brProfile:brYou have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, IT Infrastructure, or equivalent by experience,brYou have 10 years of professional experience in IT infrastructure management,brAn experience in industrial/OT-heavy environments (chemicals, pharma, manufacturing) is a strong plus,brYou have senior-level expertise in Cisco networking, VMware, enterprise storage, backup, and virtualization,brYou manage disaster recovery, high availability, OT infrastructure, and IT facilities (UPS, racks, cabling, datacenter operations),brYou are capable of leading and executing infra projects independently,brYou have a strong troubleshooting and preventive mindset,brYou are skilled at working across technical, business, and vendor interfaces,brYou are able to operate both as a hands-on engineer and trusted advisor for Belgian/European infra strategy,brCertifications such as Cisco, VMware, Microsoft Azure, or equivalent infrastructure certification are an asset,brFluency in Dutch and English is required; knowledge of French is a strong advantage.
