Portfolio manager - defence SecuritybrWe are currently looking for a Principal Portfolio Manager to strengthen our team and lead portfolio management initiatives within the Defence Security sector.brThis senior role requires strong leadership in portfolio design, project execution, and continuous improvement to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and long-term transformation goals.brKey responsibilitiesbrDesign and implement a portfolio program management framework aligned with division strategybrEnhance and improve portfolio management processes and foster a culture of adaptability and changebrDefine priorities within the portfolio to ensure optimal resource allocationbrDrive the execution of programs and projects, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and stakeholder satisfactionbrMonitor and report progress using KPIs and performance indicatorsbrIdentify, evaluate, and mitigate risks across the portfoliobrStay informed about industry standards, methodologies, and best practicesbrRequired skills experiencebrMaster's degree and a minimum of 5 years' experience in related fieldsbrSolid expertise in portfolio and project managementbrExperience in complex systems and IT programmes (defence, Telecom, intelligence, surveillance, or related areas)brProven track record in progress tracking and reportingbrProject Management certification (PMP, Prince2, or equivalent)brNice-to-have qualificationsbrPortfolio Management certification (e.g. Management of Portfolios - MOP)brCertification in Risk ManagementbrExperience in long-term IT portfolio planningbrStrong skills in developing KPIs and quality frameworksbrSoft skillsbrExcellent communication and stakeholder managementbrCollaborative team playerbrProactive and solutions-drivenbrAdditional informationbrLanguages: English (mandatory)brLocation: South of Brussels area (easy access from the capital)brWork setup: On-site role with limited remote flexibilitybrStart date: Mid-November 2025brContract: 6 months, with possible extensions into brInterested or know someone who might be a good fit?brLet's connect
