Junior Accountant

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to support our Starion and Nexova's Finance team based in Wavre, Belgium. 📍

As a member of the Finance team you will support accounting activities for multiple business entities within 11 countries.


Tasks and activities ⚙️

The scope of work will include:

  • Account Payables.
  • Managing the general AP mailbox (Reception of invoices and expenses).
  • Receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices for four companies of the Group and travel invoices.
  • Collaborating with internal departments to gather, analyze and interpret relevant financial data.
  • Bookkeeping the credit card statements.
  • Reviewing and reconciling invoices discrepancies (Aged debt and open items AP balances).
  • Cash Management & Treasury.
  • Preparing, checking and uploading payments.
  • Daily importing of bank statements.
  • Following-up of payment reminders.
  • Account Receivables.
  • Preparing, checking and sending for approval the sales invoices proposals.
  • Preparing/downloading the requested documents (ex. Receipts) to be joined with the invoices.
  • Sending reminders (email or call).
  • Supporting monthly customer statements.
  • Helping monthly reporting by preparing and booking the accruals.


Skills and experience 💡

The following skills and experience are mandatory:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.
  • Understanding of principles of finance, bookkeeping and accounting.
  • Familiarity with accounting programs and software.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office especially Excel).
  • Proactive attitude.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Proficient in data entry.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Attention to details and accuracy.
  • Stress resistant.
  • Fluent in French and English both written and spoken.

The following skills and experience would be highly desirable:

  • Previous work experience in the same area of work.
  • A working knowledge of other European languages.
