About the role:

Our client is looking for an experienced
FPGA Engineer
for a freelance assignment in the Antwerp region. You will focus on
VHDL-based design, testing, and documentation
, supporting the development of advanced digital systems in safety-critical environments

Responsibilities:

• Hardware development using VHDL for FPGA
• Verification and testing of developed modules
• Documentation of design and test results
• Collaboration with the wider engineering team

Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as an FPGA Engineer
• Strong proficiency in
  VHDL
• Experience in safety-critical environments
• Familiarity with simulation, verification, and documentation processes
• English-speaking, Dutch is a plus
• Availability to be onsite a couple of days a week

Location & Duration:

• East-Flanders / Antwerp region, Belgium
• Initial 6 months with extension possible
• Start date: ASAP
