Lean Manager


Multi-site role: Tubize, Herstal, or Evegnée – location varies with project needs, giving you variety, challenge, and the chance to work across teams and sites.



We are seeking a dynamic and driven Operational Efficiency Leader to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will be at the forefront of driving initiatives to minimize inefficiencies, boost productivity, and enhance our operational agility. This role requires a proactive approach in collaborating with various departments to swiftly address and resolve issues, alongside a strong quality culture.

Your mission

· Lead Multidisciplinary Teams: Guide a diverse team in applying Lean methodologies for effective root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.

· Eliminate Waste: Spearhead and synchronize efforts to quickly address and rectify pressing issues, aiming to cut down response times by 50% or more for product, process, and organizational challenges.

· Boost Productivity: Form and lead a rapid-response "tiger team" to tackle issues with decisive actions and streamline the process of handling client concerns.

· Flexibility and Agility: Fast-track the acquisition of new accreditations, uphold a progressive culture, and achieve superior, tangible results.

· Drive Organizational Improvement: Aid in implementing new organizational frameworks and/or processes (e.g., S&OP), eliminate departmental silos, and cultivate a problem-solving mindset across the team.

· Enhance Client Relations: Elevate reputation and client interactions.

· Analyze and Act: Develop strategic action plans and conduct thorough trend analysis from audits and performance data.

· Spread QA Culture: Advocate for and implement quality standards and norms across the organization, developing and maintaining a strong quality mindset throughout the team.

· Proactive and Solution-Oriented: Serve as the driving force behind our initiatives, always focusing on finding solutions and driving projects forward with a "we can do it" attitude.

About you

· Bachelor’s degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree is advantageous.

· Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex projects.

· Demonstrable experience in operational excellence, process improvement, or a comparable role in an aerospace, automotive, defense or similar field.

· Expertise in Lean methodologies and 8D/9S Problem Solving.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

· Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.

· Ability to thrive under pressure and juggle multiple priorities effectively.

· Technical Skills: Foundational knowledge of electro-mechanical systems is highly beneficial.

· Continuous Improvement: Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).

· Familiarity with certification processes and quality management systems.

· Proven track record in driving cultural and structural transformation within an organization.

MUST HAVE:

- Min. 5 years of experience on leading practical lean projects on the field

- Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex projects.

- Expertise in Lean methodologies and 8D/9S Problem Solving. (min 5 years)
