Technical Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with a strong engineering background to lead and coordinate various high-impact projects within our client’s organisation. The ideal candidate will have the ability to align on a technical level with expert teams, manage public tendering processes, and communicates fluently in Dutch, French, and English. This role requires an independent, proactive, meticulous, and mature professional with a minimum of 10 years of technical project management experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the replacement of ground radars at Zaventem, ensuring timely and successful project delivery.
• Coordinate the Instrument Landing System (ILS) project, involving extensive field coordination and stakeholder management.
• Support the Wide Area Multilateration (WAM) project by assisting in the coordination with over 55 site owners, providing technical guidance and ensuring smooth operations.
• Align on a technical level with expert teams to ensure project requirements and specifications are met.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with public tendering processes and manage large and complex dossiers within a government context.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and risk management plans.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members.
• Implement best practices in project management to ensure high-quality delivery.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Languages: Proficiency in Dutch, French, and English is required.
• Engineering Background: Strong engineering background with the ability to align on a technical level with expert teams.
• Technical domain: You have a good understanding of or affinity with Air Traffic Control
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Project Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Project Management: Proven experience as a Project Manager with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, preferably in technical projects.
• Public Tendering: Experience in public tendering processes and managing large and complex dossiers within a government context.
• Technology Integration: Ability to integrate new technologies and systems into existing infrastructure.
