Lead Data Engineer

You're an experienced Data Engineer who's ready for more. You know your way around the Microsoft data stack, enjoy working with customers and like taking the lead. You're proactive, hands-on and not afraid to build something new—especially if it means helping others grow along the way.

What will you be doing?

We have an established Microsoft Data & AI team in West-Flanders, East-Flanders, Antwerp and Wallonia. Now, we're ready to take the next step and build something similar in Limburg That's where you come in.

As our
Lead Data Engineer
in the region, you'll be wearing a few different hats:

• Presales:
  supported by the sales colleagues, you'll be the first point of contact for new leads in the Limburg area. You'll listen, ask the right questions, and help translate the needs of our potential customers into clear proposals and project plans.
• Working on projects:
  you'll still get your hands dirty. Whether it's running workshops, designing data architectures, or building pipelines, you'll be actively involved in delivery. You'll work with tools like Azure, Databricks, Power BI, SQL, PySpark,…
• Building the local team:
  you'll help us grow a local team in Limburg.

You won't be doing this alone – we've got a great team to support you You can count on the technical expertise and leadership of the broader Microsoft Data & AI team but also of the local leadership of delaware as a whole.

Is there a match?

We're looking for someone who's not afraid to take initiative, who enjoys building something from the ground up, and who's comfortable switching between delivery and business development. Consultancy experience is a plus, but not a must.

• Have
  at least 6 years of experience
  as a
  Data Engineer
  , ideally with Microsoft technologies;
• Know your way around
  Azure, Databricks, Power BI, SQL,
  and
  PySpark
  ;
• Understand
  lakehouse architectures
  and
  ETL/ELT flows
  ;
• Have led full
  end-to-end data projects
  before;
• Are a strong communicator—in both
  Dutch and English
  .
