Business / Functional Analyst

We're looking for a
Business & Functional Analyst
to support a high-impact project in the field of digital transformation and border control systems. You will play a central role in designing, analyzing, and documenting requirements for the implementation of new applications and services in line with European standards.

This project involves the processing of alphanumeric and biometric data, integration with central European systems, and ensuring smooth alignment with national applications.

Your challenges:

• Translate business needs into clear, structured functional and technical specifications.
• Apply UML and BPMN to model use cases, processes, and data flows.
• Contribute to the development of web services and applications for secure data exchange.
• Ensure GDPR compliance and data protection in cross-border data exchanges.
• Support user acceptance testing, regression testing, and usability testing.
• Collaborate in an Agile/SCRUM & DevOps environment with multidisciplinary teams.
• Facilitate communication with stakeholders in a multilingual context (NL, FR, EN).

What are we looking for?

Education:
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent through experience.

Experience:
Confirmed background as a Business/Functional Analyst in complex IT projects.

Proficiency with:

• UML, BPMN, ERD
  (use cases, class diagrams, activity diagrams, data models)
• Requirements analysis & writing user stories
• Application integration
  (REST APIs, JSON, XML, HTML)
• SQL & relational databases
• Atlassian tools
  (Jira, Confluence), Enterprise Architect
• Testing practices
  (UAT, regression, usability)

Knowledge of
GDPR
and secure data exchange in public sector/security contexts.

Familiarity with
SAP
and reporting/dashboard tools (e.g. ) is a plus.

Languages:
Dutch, French, and English – active knowledge required.
