Data Quality Analyst

We are seeking an experienced
Data Quality Consultant
to strengthen our data governance capabilities within the financial sector. In this role, you will play a key part in improving the quality of data, ensuring compliance with BCBS 239 regulations, and enhancing governance processes. You will collaborate with internal teams and participate in strategic projects to build and improve the data quality framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement data quality policies, standards, and frameworks.
• Collaborate with business and IT teams to identify data quality requirements.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations (e.g., BCBS 239).
• Conduct data quality audits and prepare management reports.
• Set up KPIs and dashboards to monitor data quality.
• Identify anomalies and inconsistencies in systems.
• Propose corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with IT & business teams.
• Manage incidents related to data quality and coordinate remediation.
• Document processes and corrective measures.
• Automate controls using SQL or scripting languages (Python).
• Contribute to the integration of new data quality tools.
• Raise awareness and train teams on data quality best practices.

Profile

• Master's degree in data, management, or related field.
• +6 years of experience as Data Quality Analyst / Data Governance Analyst

Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in SQL and data quality tools (e.g., Ab Initio).
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
• Knowledge of ETL principles and modern data architectures (DWH, Data Lake).
• Familiarity with BCBS 239 regulatory requirements
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Qlik Sense).
