Expert Solution Engineer – Lead High-Impact Digital Transformation (Hybrid – Brussels)

We are seeking a
highly experienced Solution Engineer
to play a pivotal role in a
strategic digital modernization program

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate high-level solution architectures into detailed implementation designs and execute them end-to-end.
• Develop, integrate, and maintain APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications.
• Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and hybrid cloud environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, guiding technical decisions, and ensuring the delivery of secure and resilient solutions.
• Continuously develop and share technical knowledge, staying ahead of emerging trends and best practices.

Required Expertise:

• 10+ years hands-on experience with
  Java SE, API design, and microservices development
  .
• Strong background in
  software architecture
  : cloud, API, microservices, and event-driven systems.
• Proven experience with
  cloud-native development
  , preferably Azure, including PaaS integrations and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience in
  CI/CD pipelines
  and managing hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience with
  Java frameworks
  (e.g., Quarkus).
• Fluent in English and either Dutch or French.
• Agile team experience and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of Event Driven, Behavioral Driven, or Domain Driven Design.
• Familiarity with European interoperability standards and government IT environments.
