Accountant | Retail | Brussels

We are currently looking for an Accountant for one of our clients active in the retail industry, located in the Brussels region.

This company, founded several decades ago, has over the years become a major player in the retail world. In the 1990s, it crossed borders with its first establishment in Belgium and has since continued to expand throughout Europe and worldwide. Today, it operates several thousand stores around the globe. The company continues to grow with ambitious expansion plans, driven by several strategic acquisitions and the diversification of its offerings.

As an Accountant, you will act as the right-hand person to the Chief Accountant, assisting in implementation and automation projects while being responsible for the general and analytical accounting of the Belgian entity.

• Recording invoices
• Monitoring payment processes
• Reconciling accounting accounts
• Managing month-end and year-end closings
• Preparing VAT and tax returns
• Contributing to the improvement of current work practices and the implementation of new tools/processes

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• At least 3 years of experience in general accounting
• You are autonomous and capable of taking initiative
• You are communicative and comfortable in your interactions
• You are dynamic, outgoing, and have a positive attitude
