Logistics Manager

Logistics Manager
, reporting directly to the
Plant Director
, you will oversee and optimize all logistics activities within the plant, ensuring smooth coordination between planning, supply, and internal material flows.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing and coordinating all plant logistics activities — from production scheduling to inbound logistics, raw material warehousing, and line feeding (excluding finished goods).
  • Developing and managing production schedules and material planning.
  • Proactively supervising inbound material flows to ensure continuous alignment with production plans, maintaining regular interaction with suppliers (and the Procurement department when needed) to define and adjust delivery schedules based on MRP data and plant requirements.
  • Managing inbound logistics operations such as transportation, warehousing, safety performance, logistics quality, and overall efficiency.
  • Supporting the monitoring of supplier delivery and quality performance.
  • Managing raw material warehouses, defining stock-keeping strategies, and optimizing inventory turnover.
  • Improving line feeding and internal logistics processes to enhance flow and efficiency.
  • Contributing to plant layout design or redesign to streamline material flows and logistics operations.
  • Leading the
    Logistics and Customer Service (LCS) pillar
    within the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) framework.
  • Supporting risk management activities to ensure supply continuity in emergency situations.
  • Supervising, coaching, and developing warehouse teams.
  • Contributing to the achievement of plant objectives regarding safety, quality, service level, and efficiency, in collaboration with other departments (HSE, Quality, Production, Industrial Engineering, Maintenance, HR, and Controlling).

Your profile:

  • Engineering degree and 3–5 years of experience in similar roles within manufacturing environments.
  • Solid expertise in material planning, production scheduling, inventory and warehouse management, picking operations, and internal logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics management tools such as MRP logic and parameters (lead times, EOQ, MOQ, safety stock, etc.), plan-for-every-part methodology, value stream mapping, and flow analysis.
  • Good understanding of Safety and Environmental standards applied to logistics operations.
  • Knowledge of logistics engineering principles.
  • Basic understanding of cost and performance controlling.
  • Familiarity with
    World Class Manufacturing
    or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French is considered an asset.
