Brief Call
: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you

Interviews
(the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities

Case study
: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

What is a Data Consultant at Amaris?
As a
Data Consultant
, you'll work on strategic and technical engagements that combine your expertise with the needs of leading organizations. Your mission will be to help clients extract value from their data—whether that means building robust pipelines, delivering business insights, deploying ML models, or improving data governance.

We welcome professionals with experience in one or more of the following profiles:

Data Scientist
You apply machine learning and statistical techniques to solve business problems, from predictive models to recommender systems. You're comfortable with Python, scikit-learn, and experimentation frameworks, and you know how to translate findings into business value.

Data Engineer
You design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms. You work with cloud tools (Azure, AWS, GCP), orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt), and big data frameworks (Spark, Databricks) to ensure clean, reliable, and accessible data for downstream use.

ML Engineer
You operationalize machine learning models and help bridge the gap between data science and production. You're familiar with CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), MLOps pipelines, and deploying models into real-time or batch environments.

Data Analyst
You explore and visualize data to provide actionable insights. You're comfortable with SQL, BI tools (Power BI, Tableau), Excel, and basic Python. You know how to structure KPIs, build dashboards, and tell compelling data stories to business stakeholders.

What You'll Do as a Data Consultant:

• Work in cross-functional teams with engineers, scientists, analysts, and project managers
• Contribute to full data project lifecycles: from discovery and design to development, testing, and deployment
• Analyze and assess client data systems, architecture, or quality issues and provide improvement recommendations
• Shape and implement technical solutions on cloud, hybrid or on-prem environments
• Translate client needs into data solutions and deliverables with measurable impact
• Take part in internal R&D initiatives and contribute to our CoE's accelerators and assets

Our Environment & Tech Stack:
We're tech-agnostic and pragmatic: we adapt our stack to each client's needs. Some of the most used technologies include:

• Languages: Python, SQL, R
• Cloud platforms: Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, Purview), AWS, GCP
• Orchestration & Transformation: dbt, Airflow, Kedro, Dataform
• Analytics & BI: Power BI, Tableau, Looker
• MLOps & DevOps: MLflow, Docker, Git, CI/CD pipelines
• Big Data: Spark, Databricks, Snowflake

Your Profile:

• You have 2+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, Engineer, Analyst, or ML Engineer
• You're comfortable working in consulting settings or have a strong interest in client-facing roles
• You bring both technical skills and business curiosity
• You're fluent in English; knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus
• You're proactive, collaborative, and always learning
