Senior SD/MM Consultant

We are working with a leading Utilities organisation undergoing a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programme.

They require a
Freelance Senior SAP SD/MM Consultant
to join them on a long-term contract engagement.

This role will focus on the design, configuration, and integration of SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) and Materials Management (MM) modules, ensuring alignment with utilities sector processes and regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the functional design and configuration of SAP SD and MM within an S/4HANA environment

• Configure and manage customer master data, quotations, contracts, billing plans, procurement cycles, and inventory management

• Collaborate with ABAP and integration teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications

• Ensure seamless integration with FI/CO, IS-U, CRM, and external billing or metering systems

• Conduct unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT)

• Provide post-go-live support and process optimisation guidance

• Work closely with Finance, Supply Chain, and Technical teams to align on solution design

• Ensure compliance with Belgian and EU utilities regulations

• Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders and project leadership

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 7+ years of SAP consulting experience, with 3+ years focused on SD/MM

• Proven expertise in SAP S/4HANA implementations or migrations

• Strong functional knowledge of SD (contract management, pricing, billing, rebates) and MM (procurement, inventory, vendor management)

• Hands-on configuration experience in pricing procedures, account determination, and output management

• Experience with integration to IS-U and related industry solutions

• Ability to operate independently in a remote, multicultural environment

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Fluent in English; Dutch or French is a strong plus

Contract Details:

• Duration: 12 Months (extendable)

• Remote (based in Belgium or EU timezone)
