About the Role

We're seeking a
seasoned Enterprise Architect
with a strong focus on
technology architecture and cloud transformation
to support a major IT strategy program.

This assignment suits a freelance expert who enjoys steering complex transformations, defining cloud strategies, and guiding teams through change.

Key Responsibilities

• Shape and deliver the
  technology architecture vision
  , ensuring alignment with long-term business and IT strategies.
• Lead architecture efforts across
  infrastructure, platforms, integration layers, and cloud environments
  (Microsoft Azure).
• Define and implement
  cloud migration and governance models
  , including landing zones, platform services, and security frameworks.
• Support the
  enterprise-wide IT transformation program
  , ensuring coherence and architectural consistency across all initiatives.
• Provide expert architectural input on large-scale projects, designing
  secure, scalable, and sustainable
  hybrid cloud solutions.
• Collaborate closely with
  business, solution, and security architects
  to maintain architectural alignment across domains.
• Lead
  technology selection processes
  , evaluate innovations, and assess their relevance to the target architecture.
• Maintain and evolve
  architecture documentation, standards, and roadmaps
  within LeanIX.
• Actively contribute to
  architecture boards and governance
  processes.
• Mentor other architects and senior engineers, fostering
  technical excellence and knowledge sharing
  in hybrid cloud environments.

Your Profile

• Proven experience as an
  Enterprise or Technology Architect
  within large-scale IT transformation programs.
• Strong knowledge of
  Microsoft Azure
  (IaaS, PaaS, networking, security, and governance).
• Experience with
  cloud enablement and legacy modernization
  initiatives.
• Familiarity with
  enterprise architecture frameworks
  (TOGAF, ArchiMate, BPMN) and tools such as
  LeanIX
  .
• Understanding of
  modern delivery models
  (Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, SAFe, FinOps).
• Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into actionable roadmaps.
• Excellent communicator able to bridge business, IT, and leadership stakeholders.
• Recognized leadership in
  influencing, coaching, and driving transformation
  across complex organizations.
• Language: fluent in one national language (french or dutch) mandatory, good command of the other one. Fluent as well in English.

Nice to Have

• Certifications such as
  Azure Solutions Architect
  or
  TOGAF
  .
• Experience in large-scale
  hybrid cloud transformations
  .

Practical Details

• Hybrid setup:
  minimum 2 days/week onsite (within commuting distance).
• Freelance contract:
  6 months, renewable based on performance and program evolution.
