Production Process Specialist – EN & FR or NL – ALTEN Belgium

The Position

As part of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Production Process Specialist to join our teams and contribute to the setup and development of a new high-tech electro-optical production site located on the periphery of Brussels.

As a Production Process Specialist, you will play a key role in establishing and running the new assembly line. You will be directly involved in technology transfer, technical support, and process optimization within the production environment.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Actively participating in the setup and ramp-up of production lines in collaboration with international technical teams
• Supporting the installation and qualification of production equipment and technology transfer from reference sites
• Performing assembly, testing, and calibration operations on advanced electro-optical systems
• Working hands-on on key assembly stations involving precision components such as lenses, micro-displays, optical elements, and sensors
• Ensuring high quality and compliance through meticulous testing at every stage of production
• Acting as a technical liaison between the Belgian site and central engineering teams for support, troubleshooting, and process improvement
• Training and assisting operators on assembly best practices and maintenance procedures
• Documenting production activities, updating work instructions, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensuring compliance with safety and well-being standards across the production site

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electromechanics, Mechanics, Physics, or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role (Production, Process, or Industrial Engineering)
• Experience in electronics and/or optics is a strong asset
• Hands-on and practical approach, comfortable working directly on the shop floor
• Ability to quickly learn complex assembly processes and adapt to new equipment
• Experience with ERP systems or production management tools is an asset
• Strong communication skills, precision, and teamwork mindset
• Fluent in English and French or Dutch
