Senior Planner

Our client, a leading international construction firm is looking for an experienced Senior Planner to join its delivery team on a major construction project in Belgium. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of project planning activities on one of Europe’s most technically advanced industrial projects.

We’re seeking a planning professional with a proven track record in large-scale industrial or construction environments such as data centers, pharmaceutical facilities, or advanced manufacturing plants.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of experience in project planning, including hands-on expertise with Primavera P6 on live construction projects. You will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing project schedules to ensure the successful delivery of complex, fast-paced construction programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and management of detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Produce and maintain regular progress reports, forecasts, and performance metrics.
• Integrate labour, equipment, and material resources into planning models.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and client representatives to coordinate project planning activities.
• Identify schedule risks, delays, and constraints.
• Coach more junior planners

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in project planning on large-scale industrial or mission-critical construction projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 is mandatory, with demonstrable experience managing live project schedules.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; capable of engaging with diverse project teams and client stakeholders.
• Fluency in English is required; French or Dutch is a strong advantage.
