Senior Java Developer

Location: Mechelen, Belgium (Hybrid)
Engagement: Full-time (100%)
Languages: Dutch (C2 level or equivalent), English (Fluent, spoken and written)

Required Skills & Expertise

Must Have

5+ years of professional experience in Java backend development

Expertise in Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Reactor

Strong knowledge of microservices, Kafka, Kubernetes, and Docker

Experience deploying and maintaining solutions on AWS, GCP, or Oracle Cloud

Familiarity with ElasticSearch, Neo4j, and ActiveMQ

Proficient in Agile methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD)

Fluent in Dutch (C2) and English (spoken and written)

Nice to Have

Exposure to Functional Programming (e.g., Clojure, Re-frame)

Experience in Human Capital / HR Services domain

Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD automation
