🚀 IT Project Manager – Cloud Migration & Transition

📍 Location: Bruges (3 days on-site) – occasional trips to Brussels and Ghent

🕒 Start date: no later than January 1, 2026

🌐 About the Project

For a large-scale migration program within a leading Belgian organization, we are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the transition from an end-of-life cloud environment (Azure Spring Apps) to an internal development platform.

The initiative will run until the end of 2027 and involves the migration of around 500 applications to the new platform.

🎯 Your Responsibilities

• Oversee the migration from Azure Spring Apps to the internal platform
• Define and monitor roadmaps, timelines, and dependencies across dozens of teams
• Collaborate closely with architects, developers, and infrastructure engineers
• Manage risk, change, and stakeholder alignment
• Ensure continuity and stability throughout the transition phase
• Report on progress, risks, and decision points to management and governance committees

🧠 Your Expertise and Technical Knowledge

☁️ Cloud & Infrastructure

• Strong understanding of Azure architecture and PaaS components (App Services, VNets, Key Vault, Monitoring)
• Familiarity with Azure Spring Apps and microservices architectures
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps processes, and IaC tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM

💻 Software Development

• Understanding of Java/Spring Boot and API-based applications
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
• Experience with application modernization, refactoring, or platform migration.

🔐 Integration & Security

• Basic knowledge of authentication and integration concepts (OAuth2, OIDC, certificates, API security)
• Insight into IAM, compliance (GDPR, NIS2), and security-by-design principles

🤝 Soft Skills & Leadership

• Excellent communicator and bridge-builder between business, development, infrastructure, and security teams
• Skilled stakeholder manager who inspires trust at all levels
• Strong ability to structure, prioritize, and coordinate in a dynamic environment
• Coaching leadership style – inspire rather than control
• Analytical, resilient, and results-driven mindset

⚙️ Methodology & Governance

• Experience with Agile, DevOps, Prince2, or PMI methodologies
• Strong in project governance, risk management, and executive reporting
• Skilled in roadmapping, resource planning, and dependency management across multiple teams

👤 Your Profile

• At least 10 years of experience as an IT Project Manager in a large or complex organization
• Strong combination of infrastructure and software knowledge
• Proven experience with cloud migrations or platform transitions is a major asset
• Languages: fluent in Dutch and good command of English
