Scrum Master

We’re looking for an experienced Scrum Master (freelancer) to join a leading European financial services organisation in Brussels. You’ll help drive Agile delivery excellence, foster collaboration within a cross-functional squad, and support continuous improvement as part of a large-scale digital and DevOps transformation.

Logistics

• Position: Freelance Scrum Master
• Duration: 12-month contract (with potential extension)
• Day Rate: €(Negotiable & Competitive)
• Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite)
• Start Date: Mid-November 2025

Core Responsibilities

• Coach and guide the squad on Agile and DevOps principles.
• Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Partner with Product Owners and technical leads to ensure delivery focus.
• Remove impediments and promote a culture of accountability and improvement.
• Manage dependencies across teams and functions in a complex environment.
• Foster collaboration and team growth within a multicultural setting.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Lead in large enterprises.
• Strong understanding of Agile and DevOps practices.
• Excellent organisation, facilitation, and leadership skills.
• Experience with complex dependency management and cross-team coordination.
• Technical background or strong interest in delivery processes.
• Comfortable working with multicultural teams.
• Fluent in English plus French or Dutch.

Nice to Have

• Scaled Agile (SAFe, LeSS) experience.
• Certifications such as CSM, PSM, or equivalent.
