System Engineer (Domain Expert)

Main Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage infrastructure for in-house applications (Windows IIS & SQL-based)
• Participate in architectural design and deployment of new apps
• Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for complex system issues
• Configure F5 load balancers and optimize system performance
• Support core applications (RabbitMQ, Redis, MongoDB, etc.)
• Maintain documentation and ensure 2nd/3rd level support
• Contribute to continuous improvement and team knowledge sharing

Must have:

• Strong experience in Windows Server (2012–2022) administration and deployment
• IIS management and web app deployment
• PowerShell scripting (plus Bash/Python for Linux)
• Understanding of networking (DNS, VLANs, firewalls, proxies, load balancing)
• Familiarity with security protocols (TLS/SSL, encryption, keys)

Nice to have / plus:

• Experience with Linux (RedHat)
• Knowledge of SQL Server, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Redis, NEO4J
• Experience with F5 load balancing
• Hybrid cloud familiarity (Azure or similar)

• Fluent in English + French or Dutch

• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
• Team player who can also work independently
• Strategic thinking and stakeholder management
• Driver’s license required (for duty role)

On-call 24/7 (1 week every 6 weeks)
