Tech Support Specialist


Job Title

We are seeking a skilled and resourceful Tech Support Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has excellent technical skills.

This role involves providing top-notch technical support to customers, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with our technical team to resolve complex problems.

About the Role

As a Tech Support Specialist, you will be the primary point of contact for customers experiencing technical difficulties. You will need to have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to work independently and make sound judgments.

You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of customer interactions, reporting any recurring issues, and contributing to process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and effective technical support to customers via phone, email, or chat
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues using problem-solving skills and technical knowledge
  • Collaborate with the technical team to resolve complex issues
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and report any recurring issues
  • Contribute to process improvements and help develop best practices

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in technical support or a related field
  • Excellent technical skills, including PC imaging and deployment, network printing devices, and local printing devices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships

Travel Requirements

Some maintenance may require travel to customer sites, which may involve overnight stays. In these cases, you can expect reimbursement for expenses and a reasonable level of autonomy in managing your time.

Reports daily to the Maintenance Manager and collaborates closely with the Technical team (Hardware and especially the technicians and on maintenance duty)
