Backend Developer

What will you be doing in this role?

• Development of back-end website applications - writing clean and functional code
• Integration of user-facing elements developed by a front-end developers with server side logic
• Implement core business logic
• Build and manage databases, APIs, and server infrastructure to support application functionality
• Understanding and implementation of security and data protection
• Cross-platform optimisation
• Design responsive applications
• Participating in the design and creation of scalable software
• Taking the lead on projects, as needed
• Maintenance of code integrity and organisation
• Compile and analyse data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement
• Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues
• Write technical documentation

What do you need to succeed in this position?

• A Bachelor degree and a minimum of 13 years of experience in IT (or a Master degree and at least 9 years experience)
• Proficiency with back-end languages and frameworks such as Java, Spring boot and Hibernate.
• Excellent knowledge of J2EE
• Excellent knowledge of BPMN
• Excellent knowledge of micro services architecture.
• Familiarity with database technology such as Oracle, MongoDB.
• Experienced with standards/APIs: XSD and SOAP, JSON, JSON Schema.
• Experienced with with, Docker, Python, Bash, Elasticsearch,, GIT and JIRA.
• Good knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git.
• Good knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture.
• Good knowledge of applications design.
• Good knowledge of modelling tools.
• Knowledge of interoperability technology (e.g. web services, message-oriented middleware, serviceoriented bus).
• Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment.
• Good knowledge of agile methodology.
• A good level of the English language will be required
