Growth Marketing Intern

About Merchery

Merchery is born in 2020 from the simple observation that corporate gifts and promotional products are most of the time low quality. This billion $ market is shady, and often made of products people throw away after two weeks. Our vision at Merchery is to offer beautiful, useful, and carefully sourced products that people actually want. To support our ongoing mission and current growth pace, we’re looking for a Growth Marketing intern to help support our Markcom team efforts.

💡 The Role

We’re looking for a creative and data-driven talent to join our Markcom team as the 5th team-member to continue scaling our acquisition efforts across markets.

This isn’t a social media job. It’s a business development role that fits the entrepreneurial minds out there. You’ll get experience in CRM, brand strategy, SEO, AI usage and processes, emailing, and data analysis, reporting directly to our Growth Manager alongside our Content, Partnerships, and Sales managers. If you’re looking for an internship were you’ll see the impact of your work, you’re at the right place.

👉 As Growth Marketing Intern, your responsibilities will include:

  • Own and grow our SEO and GEO efforts. Define and execute the action items for us to build a strong organic web presence in our industry across our key markets by:
  • identifying high intent keywords and search terms per market
  • adapting our website content accordingly
  • reinforcing our web presence and authority
  • Analyse the results of our current emailing stack and experiment by launching new sequences to boost lead activation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Products, and Tech to source meaningful customer data and apply it to our current strategy
  • Help develop strong knowledge about our key markets to shape localised content whilst maintaining consistency and clarity in brand messaging
  • Improve internal efficiency through AI to automate processes, scale content, and increase leverage throughout our sales funnel
  • Define and track performance of key results, identifying areas for improvement and iterating what needs to be adapted

👥 Your future manager:

Kim, Head of Growth, managing our acquisition channels.

Her background?

Before joining Merchery, Kim studied International Management at CEMS in Belgium. She gained knowledge about business strategies, more specifically marketing, finance, and data analytics. Her previous work experiences were in early-stage startups, being the first Sales Manager at Expand Consulting, a Louvain-la-Neuve based Junior Enterprise, and Business Development Intern at Welcome Tomorrow at the time there were only the two founders and her. Her entrepreneurial mind goes at 100km/h, and certainly makes things more fun.

Her current day-to-day varies significantly, but overall she ensures that our customer journey is coherent and delivers results. From paid ads to email marketing, UX and SEO, all execution is tailored to generate qualified leads and purchases. The growth marketing team collaborates widely across departments, such as with the tech team, product, and sales. Its goal is to be customer-obsessed and gather as much data as possible throughout our funnel. The more data-centric, the better our strategic choices for growth. So if this lights up a spark in you, reach out to us! We’re curious to know more about what fuels you.
