Data Architect

HAYS IT is assisting one of their clients, active in the telecom industry, in their search for a freelance Data Architect. They are located in Mechelen.

We are looking for a Data Architect to join our team and lead performance optimization and architectural improvements within our Snowflake-based data environment. Our custom Java application dynamically generates complex queries on Snowflake, so the focus is both on optimizing query structures and improving warehouse performance. The consultant will work on a legally mandated application that delivers data to authorities, making accuracy and speed critical.

The ideal candidate has:

• At least 3-4 years of experience as a Data Architect is required.
• Advanced SQL tuning and query performance optimization skills, in-depth knowledge of Snowflake architecture, virtual warehouses, caching, and scaling and experience with AWS-integrated Snowflake environments is all required.
• Fluency in English is required. Fluency in Dutch is a plus.

This is a long term project with possibility of extension, the start date is ASAP and our client has a hybrid homeworking policy.
