We’re looking for a Migration & Quality Engineer (Data Stream) to take part in a major “EMS Digital Evolution” project — a transformation initiative aimed at upgrading one of the most critical systems in the energy network: the Energy Management System (EMS).
💡 Your Mission
As the key person responsible for migration and data quality, you’ll collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure a smooth transition from the current EMS version to the next-generation platform. You’ll contribute throughout all phases — from testing to commissioning — helping to secure the backbone of real-time energy management.
⚙️ What You’ll Do
🔹 Ensure synchronization between the current EMS (Network Manager 9.2) and the new version (Network Manager 10)
🔹 Guarantee data integrity across all system components (network, visuals, operator data, etc.)
🔹 Collaborate with database management teams to test and validate the new user interface and services
🔹 Update and develop quality control scripts aligned with the new software capabilities
🔹 Design or enhance supporting tools (Access, Python, others) for database data entry
🔹 Document procedures, migrations, and new operational templates
🔹 Facilitate knowledge transfer and user training for database maintenance teams
🔹 Promote clean, maintainable, and high-quality code, sharing best practices and conducting code reviews
🎯 What You Bring
✅ Degree or equivalent experience in software development
✅ Experience with version control systems (GIT)
✅ Familiarity with Agile practices (sprint reviews, grooming, daily standups)
✅ Strong knowledge of Python or other programming languages
✅ Understanding of energy systems, electricity, or electromechanics is a plus
✅ Comfortable working in multilingual environments — English fluency required; French and Dutch understanding appreciated
✅ Independent, curious, and proactive problem-solver
✅ Detail-oriented team player with strong communication skills
🌱 Why You’ll Love It
You’ll be at the heart of a strategic digital transformation, working on a system essential to energy reliability and innovation. Your contribution will directly shape the future of digital energy management.
