The Role:
One of our clients, a fast-growing international MedTech company, is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Product to lead the full lifecycle of its connected medical device and companion mobile platform.
This is a high-visibility leadership role bridging R&D, regulatory, clinical, sales, and marketing functions to drive product innovation, user engagement, and commercial growth.
The ideal candidate will define the long-term product vision, guide roadmap execution, and serve as an internal expert on clinical efficacy, usability, and market differentiation.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Own multi-year product roadmaps for both hardware and software platforms.
- Align priorities with clinical data, reimbursement pathways, and business objectives.
- Deliver quarterly updates with key metrics such as DAU, NPS, treatment adherence, and ROI.
Innovation & New Product Introduction
- Lead ideation-to-launch for next-generation connected devices and app features.
- Oversee design controls, risk management, and usability engineering.
- Partner with R&D and regulatory teams to support international technical documentation and submissions.
Sales & Market Enablement
- Train commercial teams on product capabilities, clinical benefits, and competitive positioning.
- Develop sales enablement materials including demo scripts and product claims libraries.
- Provide expert technical support for pilot programs and strategic customer engagements.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Chair product review meetings with cross-departmental stakeholders.
- Manage third-party integrations and vendor relationships.
- Oversee user research programs and translate insights into clear product requirements.
Portfolio Management
- Optimize the existing portfolio by rationalizing SKUs and improving cost efficiency.
- Lead post-market surveillance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Utilize data from customer feedback and app analytics to inform future development.
Qualifications:
MedTech Leadership
5+ years in Class II medical devices (FDA 510(k), CE MDR) and 3+ years in a senior product role
Hardware + Software
Proven experience managing connected device ecosystems (BLE, firmware, mobile SDKs)
Regulatory & Clinical
Solid understanding of ISO 13485, IEC 62366, 21 CFR 820; experience supporting clinical and reimbursement claims
Commercial Acumen
Track record of driving product adoption across healthcare channels (HCP, DTC, payer)
Tools & Frameworks
Proficiency with Aha!, Asana/Azure DevOps, Miro, and OKR methodologies
Stakeholder Management
Strong executive presence and excellent communication skills in English (French/Dutch a plus)
Preferred Experience: Migraine or chronic pain therapeutics, AWS IoT Core, AR/VR prototyping, Salesforce Health Cloud, or EU market access strategy.
Compensation & Benefits:
- €139,500 – €153,500 base salary (paid monthly).
