Export Customer Service Representative (Antwerp, Belgium)


WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

This role will deliver exceptional customer service by managing export bookings from start to finish. Ensure all documentation and cargo requirements are met for timely handover to Load Planning.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

· Communicate proactively with customers to confirm bookings, address inquiries, and resolve issues promptly, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.

· Coordinate with the warehouse to verify all booked cargo is received before cut-off and report any OS&D (Over, Short & Damaged) discrepancies to customers, following up on corrective actions.

· Chase missing documentation to ensure all required paperwork is received prior to cut-off.

· Prepare and process local quotes and booking requests for FOB cargo.

· Arrange pick-ups with approved trucking partners and confirm details with shippers for overseas routings.

· Share booking confirmations with origin agents and provide timely status updates until cargo uplift.

· Determine if customers require VLS to handle export customs clearance; liaise with customs brokers as needed and complete export entries accurately.

· Communicate any special cargo handling requirements to Load Planning.

· Record all additional charges and expenses related to services incurred during the booking process for accurate billing.

· Submit hazardous cargo documentation to the Haz Team for pre-approval before accepting cargo for export.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

· Minimum 3 years in customer service; logistics/export experience preferred.

· Strong communication skills in English and French (written and verbal).

· Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

· Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

· Knowledge of export documentation and customs processes is an advantage
