Sales Manager EMEA - Sulphur derivatives


Silox group manufactures specialty chemicals for various markets (paints & coatings, polymers, textiles, 

rubbers, pharmaceuticals, personal care, catalysts) on three continents and generates sales more than 450 million Euros each year with a workforce of more than 2000 employees spread over 10 different manufacturing sites. The group is organized around 3 pillars: zinc & sulfur chemicals, anticorrosion pigments and trading & refining of complex non-ferrous metal-bearing residues, by-products and secondary raw materials.

Its Belgian entity, Silox Belgium (75 FTE; located in Engis), maintains its position as the world leader in bleaching reducers for mechanical pulps, and in vulcanization activators for technical rubber. To strengthen our tailored market approach offering sulphur derivate products dedicated to the paper & pulp industry, Silox Belgium is looking for an enthusiast (m/f/x):

 

Sales Manager EMEA - Sulphur Derivatives

(Engis, Belgium – International scope)

 

Your challenges

As Sales Manager EMEA, you will be part of the Executive Committee and spearhead the commercial strategy and growth of our Sulphur derivatives product range, mainly dedicated to the paper and pulp industries.

In this role, your will:

  • Define the commercial strategy for the product range of sulphur derivatives (volume, pricing, conditions, contracts, ....) based on thorough market analysis.
  • Drive the operational execution of this strategy by visiting direct customers, distributors and partners, and by train them on the new product range to build solid, long-term relationships.
  • Lead and support a team of 3 Technical Sales Engineers.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, R&D, Production, Quality, and Logistics.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative atmosphere by sharing ideas to improve ways of working and drive company success.
  • Report results monthly during Executive committee meetings.

Your background and skills

  • Master’s degree in engineering, sales, marketing or equivalent.
  • Ideally, 10 years of professional experience combining track records in developing long-term business and industrial environments, working closely with production, process and R&D teams.
  • Strong affinity for SME culture requiring flexibility, collaborative mindset and autonomy.
  • Knowledge of chemistry and experience in people management are strong assets.
  • Solid MS Office skills, especially Excel.
  • Fluent in English and French; any additional language is a plus.
  • Eager to learn about chemical processes and capable of turning a wave of new market needs into business opportunities.
  • Willing to travel up to 40% within EMEA and based within a one-hour drive of Engis.
