Project Lead Civil Works

We are urgently searching for an experienced PROJECT LEAD CIVIL WORKS to supervise and coordinate several multidisciplinary projects for substations.

Responsible for the Civil Engineering section of multidisciplinary Substation projects, from the definition phase to project completion. This service is primarily responsible for the study and monitoring of the construction of substations and high-voltage installations.

• developing technical solutions during the design phase;
• drawing up and managing budgets;
• drawing up and managing the planning of the project and of all projects among themselves;
• drawing up and managing the work scenario -> in coordination with the PL
• coordinating and monitoring architectural plans in the context of permit applications;
• managing, coordinating and monitoring the implementation studies, i.e. the stability studies of the building structures and the preparation of the plans;
• directing and monitoring external study partners;
• drawing up the special technical specifications and price list for contracting the contractors;
• monitoring and coordinating the construction sites and contractors, and directing the Civil Engineering site supervisor 
• participating in the deliveries of the contracts;
• the technical and financial closure of the project.   
• performs tasks autonomously with a high degree of proactivity and problem-solving -> ability to propose innovative solutions for improvement and optimization and to suggest alternative options.

• Native level French with good knowledge of Dutch
• preferably has an Engineering degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• is well-organized, flexible and willing to work in a team.
• has a strong affinity for structural engineering, soil mechanics and notions of stability calculations.
• is able to work on several small projects at the same time.
• Proactivity in managing the tasks within the project and problem-solving thinking is expected.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
