Job Title: Data Engineer (Microsoft Fabric & Synapse)

Contract Type: 12 Month Freelance

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our client and play a key role in designing, building, and migrating enterprise data solutions. This position involves working with Microsoft Synapse Analytics and Microsoft Fabric, delivering high-quality data pipelines, reports, and dashboards across multiple business functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Warehouse Modeling: Design and optimize data warehouse structures for scalability and performance.
• Data Ingestion: Integrate data from AS400, Excel, and SQL databases using Microsoft Synapse Analytics.
• Stored Procedures: Develop and maintain stored procedures in Azure SQL Server.
• Reporting & Dashboards: Create real-time and strategic reports for Commercial, Logistics, Procurement, HR, and Finance teams.
• Ad-hoc Reporting: Deliver custom reports and dashboards for PROcenters and showrooms.
• Agile Delivery: Work in an Agile environment using Jira (migrated from DevOps).

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong experience in data engineering and ETL processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Databricks, and Data Factory.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
