Location: Tubize, Belgium

Mission:

The IVVQ engineer will be part of the System Engineering discipline of THALES BELGIUM, which is responsible for the system engineering and integration of solutions for homeland and defense customers. The IVVQ engineer will be responsible for the integration, verification, validation and qualification of the embedded tactical solutions in the laboratory, on target platforms (vehicular, soldier or terrestrial infrastructure) and in the field test campaigns.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and integrate solution/product components logically to
    evaluate design, behavior, interactions, and performance.
  • Develop and execute test cases to verify compliance with requirements
    as per the test strategy.
  • Automate test procedures where possible to optimize verification and
    validation processes.
  • Perform both manual and automated tests, analyzing and interpreting
    results to assess system quality.
  • Document test procedures, reports, and findings, ensuring accurate
    progress updates and formal documentation

Profile:

  • A fair understanding of IT systems, IP networks, and serial protocols
    (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLAN, IPv6, wireshark).
  • Hands-on experience with automation methods and
    scripting/programming tools (e.g. Robot Framework, Bash, Python).
  • An ability to design, write and execute effective test strategies, either
    manual or automated.
  • Skilled in problem-solving and diagnosing network and system issues.
  • Proficiency in documenting, reporting, and presenting test results clearly
    and effectively
  • One or more of the following is a strong differentiator:
  • Knowledge of cryptography algorithms
  • Proven experience of integration of software with hardware
