Sales Director




DFDS is looking for a Sales Director who makes the difference. Someone who thinks strategically as well as cooperates operationally, and who taps into new market opportunities and builds long-term customer relationships with proven commercial flair.

In this key position, you will be the driving force in expanding and developing our customer portfolio in Western Europe. You will manage a team of experienced sales professionals and actively contribute to the further growth of the company.

Specifically, your role includes :

Duties:

- You are responsible for strengthening our market position.

- You develop and implement the sales strategy in line with the general business objectives, by offering total solutions to prospects and customers

- You identify growth opportunities and are yourself actively involved in key account management and strategic prospecting.

- You lead and coach a dedicated sales team, ensuring their continuous development and focus on results.

- You build strong, lasting relationships with customers and stakeholders within the logistics chain by maintaining and building customer portfolios, customer visits and active prospecting.

- You are responsible for achieving KPIs on commercial targets, margin growth and customer satisfaction.

- You represent the company during negotiations and conclusion of cooperation contracts.

- You have an active presence at trade fairs, networking events and international meetings where you present and promote our service portfolio.

- You participate in regional & international sales meetings.

Who are we looking for?

- You have at least 10 years' experience in sales, with proven success in the transport or logistics sector.

- You are able to effortlessly convert customer needs into commercial opportunities.

- You are a natural leader, with an authentic leadership style that inspires, motivates and takes responsibility. Driven by a positive mindset

- You have experience in managing a team.

- You have excellent interpersonal skills and know how to connect smoothly with customers, colleagues and other stakeholders.

- You are strategically strong and possess a strong hands-on mentality.

- You have a keen sense of commercial opportunities and know how to capitalise on them successfully.

- Language skills: fluent in Dutch, French and English.

- You are prepared to travel occasionally within Europe.
