Opertional Risk Officer

afarax is looking for a freelance Opertional Risk Officer. We need you!

The project:

Our client in the insurance sector, is seeking an experienced Opertional Risk Officer to strengthen their team.

Your main responsibilities are:

• You ensure continuity aspects are considered in risk analyses for company projects (externalization of activities, AI, End-User Computing, and IT development)
• You consolidate continuity needs (BIA) from operational teams and compare them with existing measures to identify potential improvements
• You organise and animate workships with business in order to elaborate and maintain realistic exit plan and continuity plans, in collaboration with various stakeholders, to strengthen resilience against different threats
• You support optimization and automation of the activities of your team through tool requirements, tool testing and proposal of more efficient solutions
• You develop actionable dashboards to support several levels of management
• You carry-out strong quality controls and produce official reports towards the regulator
• You lead analyses related to Operational Risk Management and you provide an answer to questions from the regulator, customers, Management, etc.

Is this you?

• Fluent in French and/or Dutch
• Good knowledge of English
• You have a Master’s degree or equivalent by experience
• Project Management
• Business Continuity Management
• Knowledge of IT systems, AI, Digitalisation
• Operational Risk management and processes
• Third Party Service Provider Management
• M365, Office tools
• Sharepoint online
• MS Dynamics
• Insurance or financial sector
• DORA knowledge
