The job

Our QESG Department at our HQ in Antwerp (Belgium) is looking for a new colleague to further strengthen the team and maintain the high-quality standards of our operations. We hope you'll be the missing link in our dynamic and international environment

As a Chemical Regulatory Specialist, you will ensure compliance with global product safety regulations for the products we source and sell. You'll collaborate closely with different departments to implement regulatory programs, assess new raw materials and products, and manage change processes.

Your main responsibilities

• Monitor, assess and document business impacts and product risks.

• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new chemical products.

• Keep track of evolving chemical regulations and translate them into clear action plans.

• Provide expert advice on existing and emerging chemical legislation in the EU and other regions.

• Manage country-specific registrations, reporting, and notifications.

• Research and critically review chemical, biochemical, and toxicology data.

• Prepare and submit product and substance registrations and reports to authorities.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.

• Ideally 5 years of experience in regulatory affairs.

• Solid knowledge of EU regulatory frameworks (REACH, TSCA, EURASIA, CLP, etc.).

• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English; other languages are a plus.

• Structured, proactive, and eager to stay up to date with new regulations.

• Team player with a hands-on mindset who takes ownership and makes well-grounded decisions.
