About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join a major, long-term infrastructure development program involving complex civil works, underground structures, and geotechnically challenging areas. This position offers the opportunity to take on a strong leadership role within a multidisciplinary engineering team and act as a key representative toward clients, partners, and external authorities.

The role is suited for a highly skilled engineer with strong expertise in concrete and steel structures, experience in underground works, and a proven track record in managing technical teams and leading client-facing engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, structural calculations, and engineering strategy for major concrete and steel structures such as bridges, tunnels, retaining walls, and other key infrastructure elements.
• Provide technical leadership, supervising junior and mid-level engineers, conducting design reviews, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Serve as a client representative, presenting solutions, coordinating requirements, and maintaining strong, transparent communication with stakeholders.
• Oversee and validate engineering analyses for underground and foundation works, including piling, excavation support, and ground reinforcement.
• Collaborate with geotechnical specialists to assess soil conditions, structure–ground interaction, and stability considerations.
• Ensure compliance with Eurocodes, industry best practices, safety regulations, and project-specific technical standards.
• Support construction teams by addressing technical queries, resolving on-site issues, and ensuring alignment between design intent and execution.
• Participate in long-term project planning, risk analysis, and decision-making processes across various phases of the work.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 7–10+ years of experience in civil and structural engineering.
• Strong specialization in concrete and steel structural design.
• Proven experience in underground works and large-scale civil engineering environments.
• Solid understanding of geotechnics and foundation design.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including team oversight and mentoring.
• Experience in client-facing roles, with the ability to clearly present technical concepts.
• Proficiency with structural and geotechnical software such as SCIA, Plaxis, Tekla, or equivalent.
• Fluent Dutch (written and spoken).
