A bit about the role

In this role, you'll provide safe, reliable, and courteous transport for community members, ensuring smooth and stress-free journeys. You'll maintain accurate documentation, stay familiar with routes and road conditions, and uphold the highest safety standards. Beyond driving, you'll play a key role in welcoming and supporting new drivers through inductions, contributing to a positive and inclusive team culture. What you'll deliver

  • Safely transport passengers to and from destinations, ensuring courteous service.
  • Flexibility to be on call as no hours are guaranteed
  • Create a warm and welcoming environment during trips
  • Assist passengers boarding and disembarking, using aids and equipment as required.
  • Complete all documentation and safety checklists accurately and on time.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle checks to maintain roadworthiness and cleanliness.
  • Support new drivers through inductions, following organisational procedures.

What you'll bring

  • Confidence driving a Council 12-seater minibus (no special license required)-induction and training provided.
  • Victorian car license.
  • Experience driving buses and assisting passengers safely.
  • Ability to communicate and engage with a diverse community.
  • Experience supporting older people and those with disabilities is welcomed
  • Commitment to safety, reliability, and excellent customer service.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check and Functional Assessment (Medical/physio).
  • Experience using technology e.g MS Teams, emails etc
  • A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
