Converged Voice Core Solution Engineer

Role/Job Description

As a Converged Voice Core Solution Engineer, you lead technical evolutions of the Proximus Fixed and Mobile Voice network (2G,4G,5G) during the transformation towards converged and containerized Telco Cloud platforms. You are the primary contact for the projects assigned to you as well as for the applications under your responsibility.

Core Responsibilities

• End-to-end responsibility for designing, implementing, testing, and rolling out technical solutions.
• Converting customer requirements into technical designs (HLD, LLD), processes, MOP.
• Testing new functionalities in a lab and production environment.
• Supporting operational teams with complex issues/incidents.
• Managing projects from start to finish within agreed timelines.
• Coordinating with internal departments and external suppliers/customers.
• Participation in 24/7 on-call duty for critical incidents on Voice Core platforms

Your profile

• Team player, adaptable to change. critical thinking skills.
• Communicative skills in English and Dutch or French (written & spoken).
• Proven experience with different voice services (4G VoLTE, Vowifi, 2G Voice, Emergency calling, Fixed Voice)
• Experience with IMS core components (Preferably Nokia NTAS/CFX/SBC)
• Knowledge of VoIP protocols: SIP/DIAMETER
• Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., OpenStack/OpenShift/CICD) is a plus.
• Experience with Agile techniques is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in ICT or equivalent through experience.
