E-Motor Controls Engineer

We are currently looking for an E-Motor Controls Engineer. By joining us, you'll be part of a leading company that is shaping the future of hybrid transmission technology.


Primary duties and responsibilities


  • Owner of the application software of the Inverter-MCU in our hybrid Dual Clutch Transmission (e-DCT)
  • Lead the Controls Requirements specification for the MCU ASW. Close follow up with supplier regarding technical content.
  • Develop specific MCU functions that we want to fully have under our control (e.g. anti-oscillation strategy, speed control) yourself. Provide the model to the supplier to be integrated in the overall MCU ESW.
  • Responsible for controller SW releases provided by supplier. Close follow up for timely delivery with agreed quality.
  • Lead the validation activities in close cooperation with the supplier and internal stakeholders, including automation of test results and data analysis.
  • Lead MCU control systems related topics, including verification activities and issue solving items.
  • Together with supplier and internal stakeholders, come to approaches/solutions/plans that matches the project milestones, considering the needs & possibilities of the supplier and project time constraints.


Education & Qualifications


  • Master’s degree or higher in the field of Automotive, Mechatronics, Systems, Electrical, Controls Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in automotive or related field
  • Experience in mechatronic systems design, including E/E (e.g., communication protocols like CAN / UDP / XCP) + controls/SW
  • Good understanding about E-drive systems (E machine + Inverter control)
  • Knowledge about Powertrain systems, including hybrid applications is preferred
  • Experience in managing suppliers in delivering in time with the agreed quality. It’s important that you can show assertive communication with suppliers
  • You are proactive, solution driven, and have excellent communication skills
  • You proceed according to a good methodology in development and problem solving.
  • You are well organized and have strong analytical skills.
  • You are an excellent team player with a positive mindset and a can-do attitude.
