Product Developer

Christian Wijnants is a renowned Antwerp-based fashion brand established in 2003, known for its innovative and strong knitwear collections and hand-drawn prints. With four womenswear collections annually, our designs are featured in over 150 retailers worldwide.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Product Developer with knowledge of graphic design to join our team.

Job description:
As a product developer, you'll be working closely with the creative-team and designer to develop woven collections, from prototype launching to final sample.

You'll arrange and attend fittings and styling days. You'll work on technical packs and BOM's of each garment and launch sampling packages to our producers. Towards our sales period, you'll help to complete the collection and sales tools, entering styles in our ERP program and prepare our online showroom.

After the sales period you'll attend production fittings and help to communicate production changes to our producers.

In addition, you 'll be responsible for preparing print repeats and placements for production, designing invitations and lookbooks, and managing imagery post-photoshoots.

Profile:
A bachelor's degree in Fashion Technology or Fashion Design is required, along with a minimum of five years 'experience, ideally withing the luxury fashion industry.

Excellent knowledge of garment fit, construction, and quality with strong attention to small details.

Ability to read patterns and communicate corrections

Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken. Understanding of Dutch is an advantage but not needed.

Strong digital skills including MS-office, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and ERP software.

Strong organizational and administrative skills, combined with a hands-on and flexible working mentality, and the ability to handle stressful situations with a solutions-focused mindset.
