BOSAL is a Dutch privately owned company, mainly known as a global Tier 1 automotive supplier, in business since 1923.We employ about 2500 people in 16 production facilities of which the largest ones are situated in Czechia, Mexico, Spain, Turkey and South Africa.

Our corporate research center is based in Belgium, next to that we run 5 other R&D satellites worldwide.

Our company is organized around 3 business areas:

• Powertrain: in this largest BOSAL division, we design and manufacture emission control systems (cold end + hot end) for passenger cars and heavy duty vehicles (ICE + hybrid)
• Chassis: the division comprises a large range of welded and formed products going from seat frames to fuel tanks and air tanks, to towbars and jacks.
• Energy: the Energy Conversion business unit of BOSAL designs and manufactures state-of-the-art plate and tube heat exchangers for advanced power generators. We have 20 years’ experience in the area of gas turbines and fuel cell systems, not only as a supplier of components but also as a system integrator.

Currently we are looking for a CAD Designer Towbars in Lummen (Belgium):

As a CAD Designer, you turn ideas and technical input from engineers, suppliers, and specialists into smart, 3D concept designs that meet customer and packaging requirements. From the first sketch to a production-ready configuration, you shape every detail with precision using CATIA or Siemens NX. Throughout the product’s lifecycle, you ensure that the design remains up to date and perfectly aligned with evolving needs.

Your responsibilities:

• Creating and managing 3D models, 2D drawings and product data of innovative towbar systems in Bosal PLM.
• Designing products that fit within packaging constraints and meet customer CAD standards.
• Exchanging CAD data with customers and ensuring full design compliance.
• Actively contributing to the development team, generating ideas, challenging proposals, and driving breakthrough solutions.
• Preparing product release packages in Bosal PLM (including e-BOM) and supporting milestone and gate reviews.
• Providing CAD and product information support to other Bosal R&D teams and plants.
• Coordinating CAD work, from input and progress follow-up to job validation.
• Working according to departmental, quality and environmental management system.

Your profile:

Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or Product design.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar (international) environment. Experience in automotive is a plus.
• Knowledge of CATIA and/or Siemens NX.
• You are a team player, independent, enthusiastic and innovative.
• Excellent Dutch and English language skills.
