Prevention Officer

Prevention Officer Level II

We ARE Renewables is looking for a Prevention Officer Level II for one of our clients based in Antwerp.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor the QHSE management system (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Conduct internal and external audits, including preparation, follow-up, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate the internal prevention and emergency response teams (BHV).
• Maintain registers such as Risk Inventory, Environmental Aspects, and Chemical Substances (REACH/CLP).
• Support the preparation of the global prevention plan and annual action plan.
• Perform risk analyses, investigate incidents, and implement preventive measures.
• Provide safety instructions to new employees and organize toolbox meetings.
• Advise on workplace organization, hygiene, use of protective equipment, and emergency procedures.
• Collaborate with external partners and the Committee for Prevention and Protection at Work (CPBW).

Requirements:

• Diploma as Prevention Advisor Level II (Level II Prevention Officer).
• VCA VOL certificate is a strong plus.
• Proven experience in a similar role within an industrial or technical environment.
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and engage effectively with colleagues at all levels.
