Digital Communication Assistant


About the Role


We are looking for a Digital Communication Assistant to join our client's support services team

You will contribute to projects supporting communication, content management, and collaboration activities across multiple health and food safety initiatives. This role is ideal for a highly organised communicator who is aware of the digital and social media space and enjoys working in an international, multicultural environment.


Key Responsibilities

Communication & Editorial Support

  • Create, edit, and format presentations for web dissemination.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly newsletters on antimicrobial resistance topics.
  • Edit, proofread, and ensure the editorial quality of new content.
  • Improve the readability, accessibility, and usability of online materials.


Content & Platform Management

  • Create, edit, and upload content across our clients' social platforms and newsletters.
  • Maintain online libraries and archives on collaborative platforms.
  • Keep content up to date and tailored to specific audiences and platforms.
  • Manage user access and monitor online discussions.
  • Provide user support for collaborative tools and workflows.


Community & Collaboration

  • Support online community management and member engagement.
  • Facilitate collaboration among platform members and stakeholders.
  • Inform users about new resources and updates.
  • Liaise with consortium staff, on-site teams, and officials.


Events & Operational Support

  • Assist with the organisation of events, adapting to various roles as needed.
  • Contribute to the setup and implementation of communication activities.


Profile


Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of digital environments and online communication.
  • Experience in web content design and editing.
  • Excellent copywriting and communication skills (English required; other languages an advantage).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Word and Excel).
  • Working knowledge of Adobe tools (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and high accuracy.
  • Ability to manage stress and shifting priorities.
  • Comfortable in an international, multicultural work environment.
  • Excellent customer service mindset.


Desirable

  • Academic background in communications, public relations, journalism, or similar fields.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience with social media platforms.
  • Knowledge or experience with ITIL environments.
  • Video or graphic design skills for social media.
  • Knowledge of policies on food safety and health.
