Financial & Compliance Controller

The Financial & Compliance Controller will be responsible for a few areas within our team.

Financial/business controlling for a few regions/functions within the European Finance team:

• Budget, forecast and analyze Revenue, Gross Profit Margin and selling cost
• Monitor business performance with analysis of historical and projected results and trends
• Assessing the financial impact of activities/initiatives within the region (e.g., budget and related initiatives, benchmarking, etc.)
• Set-up and calculation of commission scheme
• Reporting: construct and maintain accurate reports with a strong push towards report automation

Accounting & compliance work for some of our entities in Belgium and the Netherlands

• Take ownership of the accounting and tax scope for the respective entities
• Accounting includes monthly and yearly closing responsibility with month-end accrual calculation, reconciliation of payroll accounts and general review of balance sheet
• Tax Compliance includes monitoring the indirect and direct tax declarations and payments for the respective entities and adhere to internal procedures and local legislation
• Become the central finance point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders for the respective regions (external audit, internal audit/SOX compliance, corporate accounting & tax, local authorities,…)
• All-round support for the Finance Manager Benelux.
• Will work closely with the Shared Services Centre based in India

Your Profile:

• Bachelor or Master Degree in the field of Finance and/or Business Administration
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience (financial analyst, compliance officer, audit, …).
• Approaches work as a continuous learning opportunity. A positive mindset is key!
• Solid analytical skills with an eye for accuracy and a drive for automation
• English proficiency; knowledge of any other European language is an asset
• Stress-resistance; ability to cope with tight deadlines.
• Experience in SAP, Qlikview and/or OneStream is not required but will be considered an asset
• Flexible and self-starting attitude, able to adapt to new situations, roles and geographies quickly
