Buyer/Purchaser

We ARE Renewables is looking for a Buyer for one of our clients in the construction sector in Antwerp. As a purchaser, you support – in consultation and collaboration with the tender and execution teams – an optimal and timely procurement process, both during the tender phase and the execution phase.

Responsibilities:

• Independently organize procurement within an assigned area;
• Support or manage a small procurement team;
• Be involved in the entire purchasing process: from strategy and request for quotation to final contract preparation;
• Advise the project team on procurement-related matters;
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team (design, work preparation, finance, legal, etc.);
• Inform the tender and execution teams about market opportunities and challenges;
• Conduct discussions with potential subcontractors and suppliers;
• Prepare requests for quotations based on team input;
• Compare prices and quotations – both financially and technically;
• Organize clarification and negotiation meetings.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent through experience;
• Have relevant experience in a procurement role, preferably in civil construction;
• Speak and write Dutch and English fluently.

Location: Antwerp

Hours per week: 40 hours
