Maintenance & Engineering Manager

We are seeking a Maintenance & Engineering Manager for our client in the food industry.

You will be responsible for the complete organization and supervision of all preventive and curative maintenance. This includes the facilities and, more importantly, the fully automated, high-performance machinery of the organization.

Through your leadership and results-oriented approach, you will ensure consistent quality and excellent performance within our high-tech production department.

Function

In this role, you take full ownership of the technical reliability of the site:

• Planning & Organization: You manage the scheduling and execution of both curative and preventive maintenance.
• Budget & Strategy: You are responsible for drafting and managing the maintenance budget, formulating investment proposals, and implementing continuous improvement projects on our production lines.
• Leadership: You provide daily guidance to your team of maintenance technicians (both internal and external). You monitor their skill sets and provide coaching or training where necessary to guarantee departmental efficiency.
• Technical Support: You possess extensive field experience, allowing you to provide hands-on technical support to your team during emergencies.
• Analysis: You perform detailed analyses of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic malfunctions to prevent recurrence.
• Compliance: You ensure that the machinery always meets the highest quality and safety standards.

Profile

• You hold a degree in Industrial Engineering or Electromechanics, or you have reached an equivalent level through experience.
• You have extensive experience in Maintenance in the Food Industry.
• You are fluent in French, Dutch preferred.
• You have at least 7 years of relevant experience and a proven track record in team leadership.
• You are a true "people coach" with strong technical expertise and a solution-oriented mindset.
• You live within commuting distance of Mouscron.
