Resilience / IT Continuity Engineer – Expert


Key Responsibilities

  • Support and collaborate closely with the IT Continuity & Resilience Officer (ICRO) within the Resiliency Cluster.
  • Define, promote and embed IT Continuity, IT Resilience and Cyber Resilience aspects within the overall IT strategy.
  • Steer, supervise and standardise the entity’s IT Continuity and Resilience plans, including policies, frameworks, methods and tools.
  • Ensure end-to-end engagement with stakeholders including Business IT, Production teams and Third Parties.
  • Coordinate and contribute to Disaster Recovery (DR) and resilience exercises at entity and Group level.
  • Report on IT Continuity and IT Resilience maturity, risks and performance.
  • Coordinate and support initiatives related to Cyber Resilience.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (ECB, National Bank of Belgium) and Group policies.
  • Work closely with multiple tribes and continuity contacts across the organisation on resiliency topics.
  • Participate in an Agile environment, contributing to sprints and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Validate the resiliency of services, applications and infrastructures through reviews of architectures and technical diagrams.
  • Actively contribute to embedding “secure by design” and resiliency-by-default principles across products and services.

Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure resiliency / continuity topics.
  • Proven expertise in IT Continuity & Resilience processes (mandatory).
  • Strong understanding of technology landscapes, including:
  • Windows & Linux
  • Mainframe
  • Cloud environments
  • Application development, databases, middleware
  • Experience reviewing and validating architecture and technical diagrams from a resiliency perspective.
  • Solid knowledge of processes, procedures and governance, and their importance in regulated environments.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex resiliency topics clearly.
  • Excellent analytical skills, ability to work under pressure and manage responsibilities.
  • Proactive, inquisitive mindset with a continuous improvement attitude.
  • Strong team spirit and willingness to share knowledge.
  • Alignment with Agile values: focus, commitment, openness, respect and courage.
  • English mandatory; Dutch and/or French are a plus.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid model (50% onsite / 50% remote).
