Business Analyst

We ARE Renewables is looking for a Business Analyst for one of our clients in the energy industry.

Responsibilities

• Act as the link between business stakeholders and IT teams, translating business needs into effective solutions
• Analyse, model, and improve end-to-end business processes using BPMN
• Evaluate existing processes and propose improvements aligned with business architecture
• Model and maintain information structures using UML class diagrams
• Define, challenge, and refine business concepts and information ownership
• Gather, analyse, and prioritise functional and non-functional requirements in an Agile environment
• Facilitate workshops, refine user stories, and support backlog management with the Product Owner
• Collaborate with Solution Architects to validate sustainable, future-proof solutions
• Safeguard business architecture during solution design and implementation
• Define and execute testing activities, including business acceptance testing
• Create and maintain clear, structured documentation and improve documentation practices
• Take ownership and leadership in driving business improvements from analysis to implementation

Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience
• 5–8 years of experience in business analysis and requirements documentation
• Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies (BABOK, UML, BPMN)
• Experience working in Agile product teams (plus)
• Knowledge of Archimate (plus)
• Excellent communication skills in English and French or Dutch
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to structure complex problems
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to challenge assumptions constructively
