Sap Finance Control Consultant

Mission Overview

As an SAP FICO / SD / FICA Consultant, you will work closely with business and IT teams to ensure the maintenance, support, and continuous improvement of SAP applications used for financial management. The role covers both evolutionary and corrective maintenance, as well as participation in project-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintenance of SAP systems, including involvement in project assignments
• Preparation of functional analyses in close collaboration with the business
• Monitoring priorities and reporting progress to the ICT team leader
• Performing technical analyses and system configuration based on functional specifications
• Coordinating and executing tests (definition, update, and follow-up of test cases)
• Maintaining up-to-date documentation (technical manuals, operational guides, user materials)
• Managing tickets within the incident management process

Required Skills & Experience (Must-have)

• Minimum 3 years of experience in operational management of SAP systems
• 5+ years of experience in ERP/SAP business process analysis and functional/technical specifications
• 3+ years of experience with SAP FICA
• Experience with Peppol for sending invoices from SAP
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP FICO, both on SAP R/3 and S/4HANA
• Experience with SAP SD, both on SAP R/3 and S/4HANA
• Ability to debug ABAP programs to analyze and understand program behavior (no development expected)
• Dutch language proficiency at CEFR C2 (native level)
• Experience within the Belgian energy / utilities sector

Nice to Have

• Experience with ABAP development
